Alongside full-time
seminary studies for three years, I maintained involvement in architecture,
design and graphics by working part-time for Albert "Tito" Harkness in
Ipswich, MA, consulting for the design of a home for a professor, and delving
into the world of watercolor painting. I also compiled a book called "More To Be
Desired Than Gold," true stories told by Dr. J Christy
Wilson Jr. during his many years teaching at Gordon Conwell. The book has been
translated into a number languages, and more than 40,000 are in print.

Excerpts
from the back cover
"Countless
successful preachers of the Gospel have used illustrations to help listeners
better understand and come to experience God's presence in their everyday lives.
These stories serve to illustrate that the real-life experiences of Christians
both at home and abroad are stranger than fiction. Not only do we value the
marvelous things the Bible says, but I think you will enjoy reading here in this
book about the amazing things that the living God does."
-Billy
Graham
"This
book grabs you from the first open page you see. Here, in the first-person
drama, are the incredible tales of a modern mystic, scholar, missionary and
prime mover whose quiet testimony and faithful life have blessed countless
people - and surely will bless those who are so fortunate as to encounter this
book."
-Dr.
Ralph D. Winter
"Ivan
S. Chow was born in England and grew up in Southeast Asia, emigrated to the States
in 1975, graduated from the University of California in Berkeley in architecture
with highest honors, and then got his Masters at Harvard Graduate School of
Design in 1982. He worked as an architect in California. Following the Lord's
call, he also completed his MATS degree at Gordon-Conwell Summa Cum Laude with
an emphasis in missions and evangelism. His grandfather was a dedicated pastor
in China. Ivan's vision has produced this book."
